The Asset Strategy Library (ASL) Release 10 (R10) is the world’s largest library of equipment failure modes (FMEA) and risk mitigation strategies for asset-intensive industries and sets a new standard for Asset Performance Management (APM).
CORRALES, NM (PRWEB) OCTOBER 25, 2011
Asset Performance Technologies, Inc. (APT) announced today that it has released the Asset Strategy Library (ASL) Release 10 (R10) to its customers and partners. According to Mark Benak, CEO, “With the help of our customers and partners, we’ve been able to rapidly grow the ASL, while maintaining the high quality of our unique data offering. R10 now includes more heat exchangers, multistage horizontal pumps, FGD pumps, low voltage cables, AOVs, MOVs (DC), relays, switchgears, and others.”
Portions of APT’s Asset Strategy Library (ASL) are currently in use in the vast majority of the nuclear power generation facilities in the U.S., as well as in Japan and South Korea. Additionally, the APT ASL has been used successfully in the oil and gas and other asset-intensive industries. Release 10 comprises 390 asset strategy templates, including:
25,000 Failure Modes, Degradation Mechanisms and Influences (FMEA)
2,400 PM Task and Interval Recommendations
75,000 As Found Reportable Conditions (Failure Codes)
that address a broad range of infrastructure equipment (e.g. pumps, valves, motors, and compressors) and are universally applicable to nearly all industries.
The ASL R10 is the world’s largest library of asset strategies for industrial equipment and is not simply a collection of results from single Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analyses, dependent on a particular operating context of the equipment under analysis. Rather, the ASL knowledge was captured from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), representing over 15,000 man-years of experience, across multiple plants and industries over the past 16 years with consistent, expert facilitation. The ASL recommendations are valid for the complete range of known operating conditions. The operating context for your plant’s equipment is then defined by the selections of Functional Importance (a.k.a. Criticality), Duty Cycle, and Service Conditions. With PM task effectiveness mapped to each failure mode, the ASL sets a new standard for Asset Performance Management (APM) in asset-intensive industries. Meridium APM customers can also purchase the APT ASL for use in a variety of Meridium products. For more information, please visit Meridium’s website.
