nal debate next week with leading
foreign ministers present. At the
uime time a move was reported
'rowing to have the Council set up
i committee of foreign ministers
o try to negotiate a peaceful set-
tlement to the crisis.
Attempt To Outmaneuver
The Anglo-French request for
council discussion referred to the
"situation created by the unilat-
eral action of the Egyptian gov-
ernment in bringing to an end the
system of international operation
of the Suez Canal, which was con-
i firmed and completed by the Suez
Canal convention of 1888."
Egypt's later question referred
I to "actions against Egypt by some
powers, particularly France and
the United Kingdom, which con-
stitute a danger to international
peace and security and are serious
violations of the charter of the
! I" N "
Egypt used this wording in a
l move to outmaneuver Britain and
France. By charging a threat to
the peace, Egypt would put the
Suez question into the category of
a "dispute." Parties to a "dis-
pute" may not vote in the Security
j Council.
British sookesmea rejected the
Egyptian charges a-s "wild allega-
'tions" and continued to refer to
the crisis as a "situation" which
j would still permit them to vote.

for the Bucks and Graham recover-
od. Graham moved the ball to the
Buck 10 but here the Bucks dug
n and broke up two Steer passes
and pushed them back 5 yards on
a running attempt. Breckenridge
took over and kept the ball til the
half ended.
Second Half
Opening the second half. Graham
tried another on-side kick but
tackle Don Reed fell on it for the
Bucks on their own 49 yard line.
From this point Boyles "and com -
pany stayed on the ground for 51
yards to score, as little 96 pound
halfback Tom Seely raced around
right end for the final 15 yards on
fourth down. Knox hit left tackle
for the extra point attempt but
was unsuccessful. This put the
Bucks out front 12 to 7.
iGraham returned the ensuing
kick-off to their own 40. From this
point a Steer lofted a pass to a
team mate which ate up the 60
vards needed for a Graham score.
The extra point run was short so
the Steers were out front 13 to 12.
Graham tried another on-side
kick-off which alert David Aten'
covered for the Bucks on the Gra-
ham 49. On the second offensive
try, Knox fumbled and Graham
recovered on their own 44. Graham
got 51 yards around left end on
their first play and five on their
second to cross the Buck goal for
another quick score. This time a
quick jump pass was completed for

will control seed decay, seedling
blights, and covered smut. Of
course certified seed is the best
seed of any particular variety for
a farmer to purchase. If available,
it should be used when a farmer
changes a variety or the variety I
becomes mixed. Wheat does not '
"run out." It becomes mixed I
through combines, drills and equip- j
ment of this nature. Proper atten- 1
tion to the cleaning of equipment is
| most important in maintaing pure
seed. It is very difficult to clean up
i a combine. First it should be clean-
til with an air blast or strenm of
water and th. n verela bushels of
grain should be threshed before
saving it for seed.
Did you know that it requires
from 20 to 30 days of near freezing
weather to head wheat properly?
Again Graham tried an on-side
| kick-off but end Robert Chapman
' was waiting. He fought and hus-
tled it back to the Graham 49.
From that point Breckenridge
played three downs and gained six
yards, bringing up fourth and 4.
Boyles pitched out to Langford and
the first Breckenridge pass of the
game was on its way. It was in-
tercepted by Graham and returned
for a Graham TD. The extra point
attempt was a kicking effort that
failed and Graham was in the lead
26 to 12.
The remainder of the game was
mostly Buckaroo as the clock ran
out with the Bucks on the Graham
3 yard line.

Babe Is Placed
On Critical List
GALVESTON, Tex. iC.Pi—Mrs.
Babe Didrikson Zaharias, the
famed woman athlete, has been
placed on the critical list and her
physicians fear the end may be
verv near.
Her husband, George Zahariasj
said "we are hoping and praying
that she will live." But he admit-
ted that "she is pretty low."
The 42-vear old athlete, who has
been battling cancer foi/ more
than three years, dropped off to
sleep about 9:15 p. m. Tuesday
night under an oxygen tent, Za-
harias said.
A hospital bulletin late Tuesday
said Mi's. Zaharias had been placed
on the critical list and they "ex-
pect to know the worst in 24 to 48
hours."
"Mi-s. Zaharias has lost ground
during the day and this evening
is considerably weaker. She is not
in a coma, but there are moments
when she is not entirely rational.
Her condition is now critical."
U. S. Is Ready To
Bypass Suez C
WASHINGTON <U.P>—American
officials said today that the United
States is ready to put into effect
within one week plans for bypass-
ing the Suez Canal if the water-
way is closed down.
They said the plans are the re-
sult of a vast governmental study
of what steps to take should Egypt
suddenly close the canal to West-
ern shipping. The plans also could
be used should the waterway be
accidentally blocked through a
shipping mishap caused by the
shortage of canal pilots.
In either case, various govern-
ment agencies would be ready to
quickly take such steps as order-
ing reserve tankers out of the
mothball fleet and reconditioning
them for oil transport, stepping up
U. S. oil production to meet a Eu-
ropean deficit caused by difficulty
in getting Middle Eastern petrol-
eum and lending money to Euro-
pean allies to pay the dollar costs
of buying American oil.
